A Clean-up session is offered locally three times per year in April, July, and October to encourage residents to cleanup yards and prune trees. On these specific weekends yard waste materials, such as leaves, grass clippings and smaller tree branches, can be taken to the Municipal Gravel Pit for disposal at no charge.
Visit the News & Events page for scheduled Clean-up session dates and times when available.
There is no municipal residential garbage pick up within the District of Kent. However, several waste disposal contractors come into the area. Please check the yellow pages under “waste contractors” to arrange your pick up schedule and payment with the company of your choice.
Residents are encouraged to recycle certain materials using either the Kent Recycling or a curb-side pickup program by one of the privately owned waste collection contractors.
